More about Playa Quemada
Playa Quemada is a small coastal village in the south of the island, where low sea cliffs face the Papagayo beaches. With NE to E winds you soar right above the water, with turquoise sea below.
Why fly here
- Right at sea level. The launch is around 45 m above the water, so you fly eye to eye with the waves breaking below.
- Toward Papagayo. On a good day you soar toward the Papagayo coast, some of the prettiest coves on the island, with Fuerteventura in the distance.
- Close to the south. If you're staying in Playa Blanca, Yaiza or the southern resorts, this is the closest launch to your hotel.
What to expect on the day
The drive in is short. At the cliff your pilot lays out the wing, you launch together into the sea breeze, and within seconds you're skimming the coastline with the sea just below. When the wind allows, you land back on top, right behind the takeoff.
