Some experiences are better when shared — and remembered for years. Flying over Lanzarote in a paraglider is one of them.

If you are looking for something different to do as a couple, you may be wondering: can we both fly at the same time?
The answer is yes. When two pilots are available and the weather conditions are suitable, each person flies in their own tandem paraglider and both flights are coordinated. You can take off within a few minutes of each other, meet in the air and enjoy the landscapes of Lanzarote from an entirely new perspective.
You will not be seated in the same paraglider: each of you will fly with your own professional pilot. This allows you both to experience the thrill of flying at the same time, while each flight is adapted to the individual passenger.

How does paragliding for two people work?
To arrange flights for a couple, we use two tandem paragliders and two pilots:
One person flies with one pilot.
The second person flies with another pilot.
The team coordinates the preparation and take-offs.
When conditions allow, both paragliders share the sky during the flight.
Before take-off, we explain everything clearly and simply. You do not need any previous experience. You only need to listen to your pilot’s instructions, take a few steps during take-off and enjoy the flight.
It is difficult to describe the moment when you look across and see your partner flying above the volcanic landscape. You are sharing the same adventure at the same time, each from your own front-row seat.
Will we fly side by side for the entire flight?

We coordinate the flights so that you can see each other and share part of the experience in the air whenever possible. However, we cannot guarantee that both paragliders will remain together throughout the entire flight.
The wind, air currents, available altitude and each pilot’s decisions may create more or less distance between the two wings. Every pilot always maintains the margin needed for a safe and enjoyable flight.
At times, you may fly relatively close and wave to each other. At others, each paraglider will follow the most suitable flight path. This separation can also make it possible to capture spectacular images of your partner flying with Lanzarote in the background.
A special experience to share in Lanzarote
Lanzarote already feels extraordinary from the ground, with its volcanoes, cliffs, beaches and whitewashed villages. From the air, the island looks completely different.
Flying together can be the perfect way to:
Celebrate an anniversary or birthday.
Surprise your partner during your holiday.
Share your first aerial adventure.
Create a unique memory of your trip to Lanzarote.
Give an experience instead of a physical present.
You do not need to be equally adventurous. One person may prefer a peaceful panoramic flight, while the other wants a little more excitement. When conditions allow, each pilot can adapt the experience to their passenger’s preferences.
What if one of us is nervous?
This is much more common than you may think. Many passengers feel nervous before flying, especially when it is their first time or they are uncomfortable with heights.
A tandem paragliding take-off does not feel like jumping or falling. We launch from a slope and, as the wing begins to lift us, the ground gradually moves away. Once airborne, the sensation is often surprisingly smooth and peaceful.
Before the flight, you can speak with your pilots, ask questions and explain how you feel. You do not both need to choose the same level of intensity. The aim is for each of you to enjoy the experience in your own way.
Do we need experience or a high level of fitness?
You do not need previous experience or special training. During a tandem flight, you are the passenger and your pilot controls the paraglider throughout take-off, the flight and landing.
You must be able to follow simple instructions and take a few confident steps during take-off. If either of you has an injury, reduced mobility or a medical condition that could affect the flight, please tell us before booking so we can assess your individual situation honestly.
Age and weight requirements for flying together
As a general guide, at Venturi Paragliding Lanzarote we fly with passengers who meet the following requirements:
Approximate weight: 25 to 110 kg per passenger.
Recommended age: from around six years old, with every case assessed individually.
Each person’s weight is important because it helps us select the appropriate equipment and organise the flights according to the forecast wind. When you ask about availability for two people, we will therefore request both passengers’ approximate weights.
The final decision also depends on the conditions on the day. If you have any questions, contact us before booking and we will be happy to advise you.
Where will we fly in Lanzarote?
We do not always fly from the same location. We choose the most suitable flying area according to the direction and strength of the wind, looking for the best conditions and a good safety margin.
Depending on the day, we may fly in areas such as Famara, Tenesar, Órzola or other locations around the island. We will confirm the meeting point and time once we have a reliable forecast, usually close to the date of your flight.
This flexibility is especially important when you want to fly simultaneously, as we need a suitable window to coordinate two pilots and two take-offs correctly.
Photos and videos: two flights, one shared story
Photos and videos allow the experience to continue long after landing. In addition to capturing your own reactions during the flight, when positioning and safety allow, we may also be able to record images featuring the other paraglider in the air.
The availability or inclusion of photo and video content depends on the flight option you choose. We will explain the available options before you book so you know exactly what is included.
Which flight should we choose as a couple?
At Venturi, you can choose from several flight experiences:
Discovery: a peaceful, panoramic option that is ideal for a first flight.
Action: for those looking for a more dynamic experience with added adrenaline.
Freedom: a longer experience with more time to enjoy the scenery and the feeling of flight.
If you want to fly simultaneously, the simplest option is usually for both passengers to book the same flight type. If you have different preferences, send us a message and we will explain which combinations may be possible, depending on availability and conditions.
How to book paragliding for two people
To check whether we can organise both flights at the same time, please send us:
The dates when you are available to fly.
Each passenger’s approximate weight.
The flight option you prefer, if you have already chosen one.
The area of Lanzarote where you are staying.
If you can offer more than one day or several possible times, we will have a better chance of finding the best weather window.
Frequently asked questions about paragliding as a couple
Can we both fly in the same paraglider?
No. A tandem paraglider is designed for one pilot and one passenger. For a couple to fly at the same time, two tandem paragliders and two pilots are required.
Will we take off at exactly the same time?
The take-offs are coordinated and normally happen within a few minutes of each other. The exact timing depends on the wind, the available space and the pilots’ instructions.
Will we be able to see each other during the flight?
When conditions allow, yes. We try to arrange the flights so that you share part of the experience and can see one another in the air, but safety and weather conditions determine the distance between the paragliders.
Do we have to choose the same flight type?
Choosing the same flight is the easiest way to coordinate the duration. However, you can contact us if you prefer different experiences and we will explain what can be organised that day.
What happens if the weather is unsuitable?
If the conditions do not provide a suitable safety margin, we will suggest rescheduling the flight. Choosing the right moment is an essential part of a safe and enjoyable experience.
What should we bring?
We recommend closed shoes, comfortable clothing and a light jacket or windbreaker. You can also read our quick guide on what to wear for tandem paragliding in Lanzarote.
Ready to share the skies above Lanzarote?
A holiday is filled with places, photographs and activities, but some moments stand above all the others. Seeing your partner flying nearby, with Lanzarote’s volcanoes and the Atlantic Ocean below, may become one of them.
Yes, you can go paragliding at the same time. We simply need two available pilots, suitable conditions and a little flexibility to choose the best moment.
